2008 Sale Dates:
Pre-Sale: January 11-27, 2008
Public Sale: February 29-March 16, 2008
Girls and parents will be expected to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Only Brownie through Senior Girl Scouts are eligible to sell cookies; Daisy Girl Scouts and parents are not.
- Cookies can only be ordered during the dates of the Cookie Program: January 11-27, 2008 (pre-sale) and February 29-March 16, 2008 (public/site sales).
- Cookies cannot be sold or displayed in stores or businesses without a girl present.
- Money is not collected and cookies are not delivered during the pre-sale. There is one exception: money may be collected if a customer has only purchased Gift of Caring cookies.
- Pre-sale cookies can be delivered when received, often before the public sale begins.
- Packages of cookies are sold for $4, no more or less, including Gift of Caring orders.
- Parents are financially responsible for all cookies they check out. Cookies cannot be returned.
- Money must be collected during the public sale and turned in to the troop cookie manager when additional cookies are picked up. Make checks payable to Girl Scouts of Western Washington (GSWW). Check amount is restricted to $48.00 (applicable only to individuals, not businesses or organizations).
- Parents are expected to support their daughters by accompanying them during the public sale to their different sites. In January, troops will sign up for locations through their site sale managers.
- Cookies cannot be sold or displayed in commercial venues, such as convenience stores, coffee carts, etc., without a girl present, as this jeopardizes our non-profit status with the Internal Revenue Service.
- While parents do not have to be a registered member to attend a site sale, all girls must be.
