A Review of the Arizona Roots Festival
The same body that organizes the California roots took it upon themselves to produce the Arizona Roots as a new event. For close to a decade, the Cali Roots has been bringing in unique artistes and performances with the aim of giving the consumers a special experience. This years event was organized in conjunction with relentless beats. It was also organized in and out of state location for the first time with the event being hosted at the Rawhide Western Town and Event Center in Chandler, Arizona. It created a buzz like no other with many people waiting to see what the event would be like.
It was a well organized event with plenty of space to move around and explore the different products from different vendors. It was a spacious event with enough room for people to sit on the ground or on blankets that they brought along. There were enough wooden picnic tables and chairs next to the main stage for the people who wanted to listen to some music while eating. Water stations were not scarce either. There were two different music stages on different ends of the event venue both being of contrasting sizes. The event had enough food centers with two drink bars on opposite sides of the venue. Among the products on sale were hand made items such as hats and bags. Some other common items were smoking paraphernalia, hand blown glass pieces and CBD treats. This tool for dosing is handy for people who use CBD. There was great organization in the layout and positioning of all the vendors at the venue. Graffiti artists had a chance to display their prowess I’m a graffiti section with huge blackboards. The attendees were served to an awe filled event as they watched and took photos of their artistes performing. You could get a seat to enjoy the music in a big metallic lion with red, yellow and green Rastafarian mane which was an art car lined with red seats. If you went to the second level of the art car, there was an impeccable view of what was below. Most people took photos at a red velvet seat at the mouth of the lion.
The Rawhide stage, which happens to be the smaller of the two stages was graced by music from 1pm. The first band to grace the stage went by the name Rilen’ out had a lead singer clad in a plain black jacket over a tank top and jeans. The beauty of her voice was unquestionable with a voice that sounded like something between two popular artistes.
