The first step to a healthy skin is regular cleaning of the face. Your face collect a lot of dust and pollen materials as you carry out your daily activities. This dirt will close the skin pores which hinders air circulation and waste elimination. Before you go to sleep, you should clean your face by washing it and dry it using a soft cloth. You need to wash your face after apply too much make up, before going to bed, and after waking up in the morning. It is important to find detergents which are compatible with your skin whenever you intend to clean your face. For instance, dry skin requires a moisturized soap, whereas one that is oily, you should use soap that has little or no additives. For oily skins, hemp skin care can be used as a remedy. However, you shouldn’t scrub your face so hard, whether your skin is oily or dry.
Another tip is to exfoliate your skin which is quite different from face scrubbing. Exfoliation is a procedure carried out on the skin to remove all the dead cells on the skin, thus allowing growth of new ones. The new cells will give your face a younger and healthier look. While normally the body naturally sheds these dead cells once in two weeks, you can decide to do it more often. At home, you can use micro scrubbers to carry out exfoliation, or you can visit a beauty spa. You should exfoliate only once in a week if your skin is dry, and at most thrice if your skin is oily. However, if you do exfoliation too much, your skin may redden and irritate as well.
Cigarette smoking and other bad habits should also be totally avoided. Cigarettes are the reason why your skin will develop wrinkles and even thin lines. Nicotine in cigars is responsible for destruction of the elastics and collagen fibers which make the face strong and elastic. You should protect your skin from any injuries and exposure to dangerous radio waves. Whereas most people bask in the sun during summer, the truth is that they are exposing their skin to ultraviolet rays. These UV rays are responsible for sunburns on the skin, which are as a result of destruction of skin cells. It is believed that ultraviolet rays are responsible for causing skin cancer, something most people dread.
