Get outside.

  Yourself.

28 hours.

take a risk.

or two.

or three.

what’s to lose?

[sleep. what’s sleep?]

Ditch your weekly grind and get some adventure in your veins! It’s adventure of the best kind, too: 28 hours of sweat, smiles, grimaces, grins and good friends. What will you be doing, you ask? Well, we can’t quite tell you—don’t wanna ruin the surprise, see—but our intel monitor has agreed to let you know the following. Listen up. You’ll show up on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 10 am, where you’ll assemble a crack team of problem-solvers. From there, it’s off to super-secret challenges in, on, above, afloat and around (but hopefully not under) camp. Your team will bond, you'll have an atomic ton of fun, and you might even learn something about yourself in the process.

Get the details.  And then get yourself registered.

Who’s it for? Girls in grades 6-12.

When is it? 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2007.

Where is it? Camp River Ranch, Carnation.

How much is this gonna cost me? $40.00.

Why should I come? Because we’re just cool like that.

Okay, smarty pants. Really, why should I come? If you like having a good time, hanging out with cool new folks, and you’re not scared of challenges, it’s for you.

My friends want to know if they can come. Sure! They don’t even have to be Girl Scouts. Just give them a copy of the registration form and have them fill it out and send it in.

I’m in a troop. Is this a troop thing? Your whole troop certainly welcome to sign up for the event. Tip: you still have to sign up individually, though. And we’ll probably split you up into different teams...you know, because we want you to meet new people. And other good stuff like that.

I wanna be a leader! If you’re in grades 11-12, we want you for the leadership team. Sign up.

My mom is freakin’. What do I tell her? Tell her this: you’ll be doing fun stuff, challenging yourself and developing leadership skills in an emotionally safe environment. You’ll be learning more about yourself and your friends. There are trained adults staffing the event and taking care of you 24/7. We’ll even feed you. If she wants to come, there’s housing ($20) and she can do her own thing or help out (not with your group!) at the event.

I’ve got questions. Contact Marcy Mastel by email or by phone at (425) 333-4687.

To register: Download the Journeys Event Registration Form. Print it, fill it out, and mail it in!
