Each spring Girl Scouts - Totem Council presents the Award of Excellence and the Ellen Datin Memorial scholarships. The purpose of these awards is to help graduating Girl Scouts in Totem Council achieve their goals and develop their individual potential as they move on. These awards recognize and reward girls who have displayed personal excellence in Girl Scouting, academic achievement, community service and self-development.
To be eligible you must:
- Be a registered Girl Scout in Totem Council
- Graduate in spring/summer 2007
- Be less than 21 years old.
- To qualify for the Ellen Datin Memorial Scholarship you must live within the boundaries of the Auburn, Federal Way, Kent, Renton, or Tahoma School Districts.
NOTE: At least one scholarship will be awarded to a Gold Award recipient.
Applicants will be evaluated based on demonstrated leadership in the areas of community service, Girl Scouting, self-development, and academic achievement.
